Ok, I decided to take the leap into online dating and while I was apprehensive I was still very excited. I chose this platform first because I didn’t have to put my pictures out there for everyone to see. Gone were the days of, “I’m looking for a guy that can be nice and not a jackass, please be single” A man’s add would read a little like this, “MSW, DTE HWP D D/D NS but LD looking for same in a woman”. Ok, let me translate…Man seeking woman, down to earth height weight proportionate divorced drug disease free non smoker but light drinker looking for same in a woman. (Not an acronym) It took me about 5 minutes to originally get through a simple sentence like that. Are you dipping your toes into murky waters of online dating? This would be your ordinary gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, questioning, intersexed and ally type person.
